Ever since the Stanley Quencher H2.0 FlowState went viral on social media (thanks to Adele for example), I wondered what this tumbler could offer. It’s available in different sizes but it seems to me, the bigger the better. In this post, I’m taking a closer look at some of the most popular Stanleys. Let’s see the winner of this match: Stanley Cup 30 oz vs 40 oz.

“What is a Stanley Cup?”
If you ask a Canadian or a hockey fan, you will get a different answer, but my blog is about water bottles, so in my world: a Stanley cup is an insulated stainless steel drinkware manufactured by the Stanley brand.
The company Stanley is known for durable and high-quality products.
The Stanleys are resistant to dents, scratches, and corrosion. They are great everyday hydration companions. Most Stanley models are leakproof, ensuring you can carry them in your bag without worrying about spills.
The Stanley cups, mugs, jugs, tumblers, thermoses, and water bottles are designed to serve you and keep your beverages hot or cold for extended periods.
The downside of Stanley water bottles is that they can be relatively heavy, due to their sturdy construction, especially compared to lightweight alternatives on the market.
Also, some Stanleys, particularly those with larger capacities, can be bulky.
Last, but not least, the quality and durability justify the price for many people, but let’s face it, Stanley drinkware is often priced at a premium level, so it might not fit everyone’s budget.
Are you thinking about getting a Stanley Quencher but the different options are confusing? I’m trying to help with the following comparison of the most popular H2.0 FlowState models.
Stanley 40 oz vs 30 oz
Well, both the Stanley Quencher H2.0 FlowState 30 oz and the Stanley Quencher H2.0 FlowState 40 oz are great tumblers, if you ask me. I just made a detailed comparison to see which is better.
They have the most important features in common:
- Vacuum insulated, double wall. It will keep your drinks iced, cold, or hot for hours.
- The advanced FlowState lid with a rotating cover that has three positions: a splash-resistant straw opening with a seal that holds the reusable straw in place, a drink opening, and a full-cover top for added leak protection.
- Ergonomic, comfort-grip handle.
- The narrow base fits just about any car cup holder.
- Dishwasher safe.
- 90% recycled BPA-free stainless steel. Sustainability FTW!
- Lifetime warranty.
Both the 30 oz and 40 oz are available in a wide variety of colors.
The differences that can make or break it for a Stanley cup 30 vs 40 are basically:
- The amount of liquid they can hold. 30 oz or 40 oz.
- The dimensions. The 30 oz tumbler dimensions are 5.43 x 5.43 x 12.52 inches, while the 40 oz are 10 x 10 x 13.25 inches.
- The weight. The 30 oz is 1.19 pounds, and the 40 oz is 1.41 pounds.
- The price. Around $35 vs $45.
Let’s see them side by side to make the comparison more clear.
Stanley Quencher 30 oz vs 40 oz
How I make my decision based on the above:
- I drink around 80 oz a day, so that’s only 2 refill trips to the water tap with a 40 oz tumbler. Win!
- I work from home and spend most of my day at my desk, so I don’t mind a slightly bigger and heavier cup. I won’t need to carry it around a lot.
- I really like the Yarrow color and it’s not available for the 30 oz.
- I’m blessed to have the budget for a slightly more expensive 40 oz Stanley Quencher.
I hope it helps to see if the 30 oz or 40 oz Stanley tumbler will work better for you!
Cheers!
